The most extreme weather event in recent Tudor City history, Hurricane Sandy blew through the colony five years ago this week, on October 29, 2012. Nine trees were lost in the parks, most dramatically a mighty oak in the North Park, pictured above.

Today, the park has rebounded, and is looking lush owing to the 'hautumn' weather.
